Sauteed Bing Cherries over Rich Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pitted Bing cherries
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Triple Sec or cherry brandy 
  • Chocolate ice cream of your choice

Instructions

STEP 1

In a glass bowl toss together cherries and lemon juice.

STEP 2

Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat, add cherries and brown sugar. Sauté cherries till cherries are softened and brown sugar is caramelized. Remove pan from heat, and stir in liqueur.

STEP 3

Serve over your favorite chocolate ice cream. You may scoop ice cream into a stemmed glass for a beautiful presentation. Serves 6.
