Cherry Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1 cup pureed fresh cherries

Instructions

STEP 1

Warm half and half and cream with sugar on the stove. Split vanilla bean and scrape into mixture. Add pureed fruit. Warm gently until sugar has melted.

STEP 2

Pour into 4-cup measuring cups. Stick in the fridge and chill thoroughly.

STEP 3

When you’re ready to make ice cream, put the freezer bowl into the ice cream maker, pour in the cold mixture, press the button and 30 – 40 minutes later you have outstanding, fresh ice cream!
